Algeria to Increase Quran Competitions’ Cash Prizes

IQNA – The president of Algeria ordered a rise in the cash prizes awarded to winners of the country’s Quran contests.

Abdelmadjid Tebboune issued a decree, ordering a rise in the value of cash prizes in Algeria’s national and international Quran competitions, the Algeria TV reported. 

According to the decree, winners of the top three ranks in the international competition will receive 325 million, 250 million and 150 million Algerian dinars, respectively.

Also, those who come first to third in the national Quran event will be awarded 100 million, 75 million and 50 million dinars.

The Algerian president also ordered a Quran competition for children to be held in the country with winners receiving cash prizes ranging from 50 million to 100 million dinars.
