Arbiters Evaluate Contenders’ Performances at Iran Nat’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Members of the panel of judges of Iran’s 43rd national Quran contest convened at Tehran’s Eram Hotel on Saturday to watch the recorded files and assess the performances of the contenders.

This year’s edition of the competition was held virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic, with the participants’ performances recorded to be evaluated later.   

The evaluation process, which started Saturday and will continue for a few days, is broadcast on Iran’s Quran TV.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s national Quran competition is annually held with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.

The categories of the contest include memorization, recitation and interpretation of the Quran.
