TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Tasnim Society in Edmonton, Canada, has postponed its online Quran interpretation sessions due to the arrival of the lunar Hijri month of Muharram and mourning rituals for the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS).

The society announced that the Quranic sessions, which were held on Fridays, have been postponed for two weeks and the next session will be held on September 4.

Alberta University in Edmonton hosted the in-person weekly Quranic programs, but they were changed to online sessions following the spread of the coronavirus.

Interpretation of the first 5 verses of Surah Mulk was the theme of the last session broadcast on Zoom.

Allameh Tabatabai’s Al-Mizan Quran Exegesis is one of the sources in the sessions.

Tasnim is a private charity society which organizes Quranic, religious, cultural, national, and educational and entertainment programs for Iranians residing in Canada.
