Quetta Mosques Prepared for 15th of Sha’aban Celebrations

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Mosques and religious centers in the Pakistani city of Quetta have been prepared for hosting celebrations on the occasion of 15th of Sha’aban.

The 15th day of Sha’aban on the lunar Hijri calendar, which falls on Wednesday, June 3, this year, marks the birthday of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent).


People in Quetta have been busy decorating mosques, streets and neighborhoods to prepare for observing the auspicious occasion.


Quetta is the provincial capital and largest city of the Balochistan province in Pakistan.


Imam Zaman (the Imam of the "Period",  Sahib az-Zaman (the Lord of the Time), is the son of the eleventh Imam (AS). His name is the same as that of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).


He was born in Samarrah, now in Iraq, on the 15th of Shabaan in 255 A.H./868 A.D.


Muslims all over the world await the reappearance of Imam Zaman (AS) from occultation.


He will put an end to tyrannies and fill the world with justice.
