Quran Recitation Contest Held in Russia
A Quran recitation contest was held on May 25 in Sverdlovsk Province of the Federation of Russia.
According to IQNA’s branch in Europe, the contest was organized on the occasion of completion of the 8th educational course of the province's Islamic school, an affiliate of the region's Grand Mosque.
A large number of students of the school, seminary students and citizens participated in the event.
Radifullah Gindulin, imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque said in this respect that some 50 participants from various age groups competed with each other at the function.
A contest on correct performance of Prayer was also held on the sidelines of the Quran competition.
