TEHRAN (IQNA) – Millions of Iranians who held rallies across the country to mark the 36th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution’s victory condemned the attempts made by enemies to tarnish the image of Islam.

In a resolution read out at the end of the rallies, they slammed the desecration of Islam’s Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Referring to a recent message by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the youth in Europe and North America in which Ayatollah Khamenei urged the youth to gain first-hand knowledge of Islam, the participants in the rallies called on Iranian officials to make efforts to facilitate this direct understanding of Islam and the aspirations of the Islamic Revolution for western youth.
Elsewhere in the resolution, they underlined the need for national unity as well as unity among all Muslims.
They also reiterated their support for popular uprisings in the region and the continuation of Islamic Awakening.
They further warned Muslim countries against the plots hatched by the enemies and condemned the crimes committed by the mercenaries of arrogant powers in the region.
Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, under the leadership of Imam Khomeini, established a new political system based on Islamic values and democracy.
By attending rallies every year on February 11, the Iranians reaffirm their allegiance to the causes of the Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic.
