Benefits of Quran Education Clarified in India

Benefits and virtues of teaching and learning the Holy Quran were clarified at a program held on the occasion of Eid Al-Ghadir in Kargil, Jammu and Kashmir State of India.
According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, the program was organized by Imam Khomeini (RA) Memorial Trust's (IKMT) Dar-ol-Quran Center on October 27.
It was attended by a number of scholars, intellectuals and religious figures such as Bashir Ahmad, Shaker and Asghar Karbalaei as well as a large number of Muslim citizens.
Firuz Ahmad, student of the Quranic center, recited some verses of the Holy Quran at the beginning of the program continued with a speech by Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Lotfi, head of IKMT.
He clarified Ghadir-e Khum incident and duties of Muslims particularly Shia Muslims in this regard.
Referring to the Supreme Leader’s guidelines, he restated that, "Imam Khamenei has always attached great importance to Muslims' unity and awareness in the face of Western plots".
The program was also addressed by a number of seminary students of the region who talked about importance and merits of teaching and learning the Holy Quran, Eid Al-Adha and Eid Al-Ghadir.
