Female Quran Memorizers Honored in Baku

Female Quran memorizers of Shabnam Islamic School in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan, were honored at a ceremony on October 13.
According to IQNA’s branch in Central Asia, the Office for Caucasian Muslims' Religious Affairs announced that 12 students of the school who succeeded to memorize the entire Quran were honored at the ceremony.
The program was attended by a number of scholars, intellectuals, religious and official figures of Azerbaijan such as Qamar Javadli, deputy of the religious office, students' parents, teachers and seminary students.
The Quran memorizers of the school recited some verses of the Holy Quran at the beginning of the program and the deputy read out a message of congratulation issued by Sheikh-ol-Islam Allah Shakur Pashazadeh, head of Muslims Office of Caucasus.
The Quran memorizers were awarded certificates by the religious office at the end of the ceremony.
