1200 Quran Memorization Centers Planned in Jordan

Jordan’s Awqaf and Islamic affairs minister said 1200 Quranic centers are planned to be set up in the country to hold Quranic courses in summer.

Hayel Abdul Hafeez Dawood said these centers will be established in all the provinces of the country, Al-Dastour daily reported.
He added that they will hold courses on Quran memorization, Tajweed, recitation of the Quran and the stories of the Divine prophets.
According to the official, the centers will start their Quranic programs and courses on June 18.
Abdul Hafeez Dawood further said qualified Quran instructors who have teaching permission will teach the courses in the Quranic centers.
He went on to say that the courses are aimed at promoting the teachings of the Holy Quran and fostering the Islamic culture.
Jordan is a majority Muslim country in the Middle East with more than 95 percent of the population following Islam.
