Winners of Iraqi Int’l Religious Contest for Women Announced

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine announced the winners of an international religious contest for women.

 

The competition, titled Anti Al-Afdhal, was held online during the lunar Hijri month of Muharram (September), according to the website of the Astan.

It aimed to test the religious, cultural and historical knowledge of Muslim women.

A total of 3,888 women from 26 countries took part in the contest.

They were from countries like Iraq, Iran, Bahrain, Jordan, Canada, the US, Australia, Algeria, Oman, Russia, Pakistan, Afghanisatn, Sweden and Saudi Arabia.

Some 1,170 of the participants answered all of the questions correctly and the ten winners were selected by draw.
