According to the Dar-ol-Quran of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Ali’s (AS) holy shrine, Sheikh Mohammad Fakhruddin, the deputy of the Quranic center, said "methodology of research in Quran” and "studies of Nahjul Balagha” are the main themes of the course.

Shaikh Hassan Al-Rabi’i and Seyyed Mortaza Al-Mousawi are the instructors of the course, he said.

The educational program began on August 13 with the participation of more than 40 seminary students.

Noting that the course aims to meet the needs of the students in research fields, the deputy said that the participants will get acquainted with the academic methods of conducting research in Quranic fields and writing Quranic articles.

He added that the Astan pays special attention to the studies of Nahjul Balagha, a collection of the sayings of Imam Ali (AS).

Seyyed Mortaza Mousawi considered the course as a valuable opportunity for elaborating the teachings of Nahjul Balagha and said the students will learn the methods to answer different kinds of questions on religious issues based on the teachings of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS).

The course will continue until September 18.

Abu al-Qasim Ali ibn Husayn al-Sharif al-Murtadha (commonly known as Sayyid Murtaza, (965 - 1044 AD ; 355 - 436 AH) was one of the greatest Shia scholars of his time. He was one of the students of Shaykh al-Mufid. He was the elder brother of Al-Sharif al-Radi (Seyyed Razi), the compiler of Nahjul Balagha.
