Afghan Contenders in Iran Int’l Quran Contests Welcomed Home
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Representatives of Afghanistan in Iran’s international Quran competition were given a warm reception upon returning home.
Iran hosted five international Quranic events, namely the 34th Iran International Quran Competition, and international Quran contests for women, the visually-impaired, school students and seminary students.
Afghan Qaris and memorizers attending the competitions had a brilliant performance.
Ali Reza Danesh bagged the top prize in the memorization category of the school students contest.
Also, Afghanistan’s contender in the competition for seminary students came second in the recitation category.
Afghanistan has made great progress in the field of Quranic activities in recent years and Afghan Qaris and memorizers have made achievements in international Quran contests in different countries.
