Quran Contest for Seminarians Held in Qom

The 13th Quran contest for Urdu-speaking seminary students was held on June 7 in the holy city of Qom.
Talking to IQNA, Seyyed Mojtaba Razavi, organizer of the contest said that Alawi Dar-ol-Quran Institute in the holy city of Qom hosted the competitions and that top participants will be awarded at a ceremony in Mid-Sha’ban.
“Over 50 male and female participants competed in morning and evening sessions of the preliminary and final stages of the contest in various categories of memorization of 5, 10, 20 and 30 Juzes (parts) of the Holy Quran”, he said.
It was organized by Al-Mustafa International University in cooperation with the Dar-ol-Quran.
Recognizing top Quran activists and promoting the level of Quranic knowledge of the Quran memorizers were among the main objectives of the contest.
Top five winners will be awarded by the institute in the middle of the month of Sha’ban (July 5).
