Uzbek Seminary Students Graduated

A number of students of “Imam Bukhari” Seminary School in Tashkent, capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, were granted course completion certificates at a ceremony on June 8.
According to IQNA’s branch in Central Asia, the program was held with the participation of Sheikh Mohammad Sadeq Mohammad Yusuf, former Mufti of the Middle East and the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Mansur, deputy of the Mufti and head of the Office for Muslims' Religious Affairs in Uzbekistan, a number of officials and the staff of the office and the Committee for Religious Affairs, lecturers and students of Islamic University of Tashkent, representatives of “Kukaldash” and “Khadija Kubra (SA)” Islamic schools, Mawarannahr Islamic Publications and Islam.uz Islamic website.
Hussein Khan Yahya Abdul-Majid, one of the educated seminary students, recited some verses of the Holy Quran at the beginning of the program which was then addressed by Sheikh Mohammad Sadeq Mohammad Yusuf, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Mansur and Abdul Razzak Yunisuv, religious scholars of the region.
They talked about the activities and perspective of Imam Bukhari Islamic Institute as well as the methods concerning promotion of Islamic sciences in the society.
The seminarians were given certificates of course completion by the officials of the Office for Muslims Religious Affairs and the committee as well as officials of the Islamic institute.
The institute started its activities with 20 students in 1971. Now there are more than 140 students studying at the Islamic school.
