An international festival titled “Heavenly Seminarian” is planned to be held in coming October by Hazrat-e Zahra (SA) Islamology Seminary in cooperation with the branches of Culture and Islamic Relations Organization and Al-Mustafa International University in the holy city of Mashhad.
Talking to IQNA, Farzaneh Taleghani, the seminary’s research deputy said that the festival seeks to present an exemplary model of seminary students as playing a crucial role in both society and history, adding: “We need to modify the previous inefficient model and devise a new one based on present time requirements.”
She went on to say that “the festival will be organized in three artistic, scientific and blogging sections, featuring the ethical, spiritual and social codes to be observed by seminary students.”
“It is also aimed at developing more scientific inclinations in seminaries, explicating the Supreme Leader’s instructions on seminarians’ individual and social responsibilities, promoting the socio-cultural conditions in societies by helping seminarians’ talents flourish, elevating their socio-cultural and ideological thoughts and offering theoretical guidelines for an ideal seminary student through artistic, literary and cultural works.”
“The artistic section of the festival includes the categories of graphics, painting, posters, drawing, illustration and photography, in which a maximum of 10 works will be accepted, as well as stories, film scripts and poetry, Taleghani further said, noting that the works ought to be original and not imitative of other artistic works.
“Participants in the scientific section can send up to 3 works including books, articles and dissertations to the festival’s secretariat by the specified deadline. Articles should meet the rules of academic writing and sent by September 15.”
Taleghani went on to say that “works in the blogging section will be evaluated based on their creative content, covering the festival’s subjects in the best manner, using reliable references, applying new methods of information dissemination, continual updating, and providing fair, unbiased viewpoints and appropriate answers to the raised questions.”
“The festival will be held at both national and international levels and the best works, including 6 top and 3 selected articles, 5 best bloggers, and 3 art works in each category, will be awarded at the end.”
She further noted that all the works should be sent via the website talabe.islamshenasi.ir or posted to the Research Department of Hazrat-e Zahra (SA) Islamology Seminary in Mashhad.
