Importance of Teaching and Learning Islamic Sciences Discussed in India

The importance of teaching and learning Islamic sciences was discussed at the 31st edition of Islamic Education Forum on May 13 in Gujarat State of India.
According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, Imamiyyah Educational Institute of the state organized the program attended by scholars, intellectuals, religious figures and political leaders of the region.
Speaking at the forum, Hojat-ol-Islam Qaem Mahdi presented a detailed speech on the importance of learning religious issues and noted that without gaining knowledge of religious principles and acting upon them, one neither succeeds in his worldly life nor finds salvation in the hereafter.
Seyyed Ali Hussein Qomi, Indian religious intellectual, congratulated the participants on the birth anniversary of Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (SA) and elaborated on the moral virtues of the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and her lofty character.
Also, the event was addressed by Shubair Kashmiri, Luqman Heydar and Zafar Hussein, religious scholars of India and Seyyed Saheb, Minister of Endowments in Ahmadabad district.
Some 275 seminary students who had won the top ranks at a contest held by the institute on religious beliefs, historical and Islamic sciences were awarded at the end of the forum.
Imamiyyah Educational Institute is actively involved in holding educational forums and contests on religious issues for Muslims in various parts of India.
