Mahmoud Ali Rokni also added that “the plan has been worked out in consultation with Al-Mustafa International University and Qom Seminary, and the organizations are to be formed by voluntary members of these centers to further promote the culture of environment preservation based on Islamic and religious teachings.”
Highlighting the significant role of the media in fostering the plan, he noted: “While the media can play a crucial role in this regard, religious preachers, scholars and organizations can be equally helpful to influence people through their effective and profound sermons.”
“The inauguration of such organizations is particularly intended to apply the capabilities of the clerics and seminary students,” he went on to say, adding that interested seminary students would join the centers to propagate Islamic and Quranic concepts concerning environmental issues.”
Rokni further expressed hope that the organizations would be run in the near future in cooperation with the above mentioned centers.
