This is according to Sheikh Riydh Hossein Najafi, head of Lahore’s Al-Montazer Seminary, who, speaking to IQNA, also said that Ayatollah Khamenei plays a crucial role in running the seminaries in Pakistan as well as helping the seminary students.
Describing the contributions of Iranian intellectuals to the establishment of the center as momentous, he said that, “Late Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Haeri Yazdi, a senior cleric, established the seminary in 1945”.
Referring to the activities of the seminary, he reiterated that, “So far over 5500 clerics have been graduated from the center and some 34 preachers have been sent to foreign countries”.
He went on to say that one of the most important programs of the center is arranging Quran classes regarding interpretation and translation for the students.
“Nemouneh and Al-Mizan interpretation exegeses are used in the interpretation training courses of the center”, he concluded.
It is worth mentioning that there are some 424 seminaries in Pakistan promoting Shia beliefs.
