--All Hawzah (seminary) affiliate centers and organizations are required to spare no effort regarding providing cyberspace users with Islamic values.
This is according to Hojat-ol-Islam Mousavi, head of Qom seminaries’ Islamic Ideology Dissemination Department, who, speaking to IQNA, also said that, “Promoting Islam in cyberspace is a matter of significance which needs to be taken into account”.
He added that seminaries’ role in fulfilling such an obligation is crucial calling on all Islamic experts and intellectuals to strive for making Islamic dissemination more modern and up-to-date.
Referring to the enemies’ plots for undermining Islam via internet, he reiterated that, “Since most of the seminary students preach Islam through Menbar (pulpit) which is traditional way, enemies are trying to impose Western thoughts through the virtual world”.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mousavi further called on all seminaries to hold computer courses with the purpose of training cyberspace preachers noting that the younger generation is easily attracted by internet.
Head of Qom seminaries’ Islamic Ideology Dissemination Department concluded that the center also plans to train experts in order to stop enemies’ cyber crimes.
