17th Quran and Hadith Olympiad for Non-Iranian Seminarians

The final stage of the 17th edition of Quran and Hadith international Olympiad for non-Iranian seminary students of Al-Mustafa International University will begin on February 5.
Talking to IQNA, Alireza Qorbani, head of the secretariat of this edition of the Olympiad said the competitions will begin with Quran recitation by the top Qari of the previous edition and continue with a speech by Hussein Asadi, director general of Quran and Hadith Department of Al-Mustafa International University.
Noting that the competitions will be held at the hall of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) Jurisprudential Center, he said Quran, Islamic revolution, Basirah and Islamic awareness have been selected as the title of the first day of the Olympiad.”
Qorbani stated that ‘Quran, Islamic leadership and Imam Khomeini’ is the title of the second day of the competitions specified for male participants.
The female participants will compete on the third day of the Olympiad called ‘Quran, ethics and training and Islamic family’.
The final stage will conclude on February 9 with the motto of 'Quran, the great prophet (PBUH) and Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS)'. The program will be addressed by Hojat-ol-Islam A’rafi.
Quran recitation by the first-rank winner of the Olympiad, a report of the Olympiad by the cultural deputy of the university and a speech by Hojat-ol-Islam Qaraati will be the parts of the closing program.
Hojat-ol-Islam Qaraati will be honored and winners of the contest will also be awarded at the program.
He further added that: “the final stage of the Olympiad will be held with participation of 120 top Quran activists including 83 foreign seminarians in Iran and 37 other from abroad.”
“The four-day competitions include categories of memorization of the entire Quran, 15 parts, Tahqeeq and Tarteel recitations, Adhan and memorization of Nahj-ul-Balaqa and Sahifa Sajjadiyyah.”
