Written Section of 17th Quran and Hadith Int’l Olympiad Concluded

Competitions of non-Iranian seminary students at the written section of the 17th international Olympiad of Quran and Hadith were concluded on December 16.
This stage of the contest was held with participation of over 3700 non-Iranian seminary students studying at Al-Mustafa International University located in Imam Khomeini Higher Education Complex in the holy city of Qom.
Abdul Reza Sharifi, Director of Quran and Hadith Office of the complex said that the written competition was held on November 4, 18 and December 17 respectively in three categories of memorization, Quran sciences and Hadith and supplications.
He added: “137 PhD students and lecturers competed in Hadith narration, 385 MA students in Hadith sciences, 839 BA students in Nahjul Balaqa and 179 others in Hadith translations.
“philosophy of pilgrimage and Sahifa Sajjadiyyah were other categories of competitions respectively held with participation of 176 PhD students and lecturers, 423 MA students, 756 BA students and 142 others,” he added.
Participants in Nahjul Balaqa category were 146 aged between 10 to 15, and 205 above 16.
The final stage of the Olympiad will be held on February 5 with participation of seminarians from five continents of the globe.
