Student Quran Memorizers Honored in Egypt
The ceremony was held in the city of Safaga in the Red Sea governorate, east of the country, according to Sabaq news website.
The Mustaqbal Watan (future of motherland) political party organized the event and its president Ashraf Rishad was present at the ceremony.
Also present were a large number of people as well as provincial officials.
The students from different age groups have managed to memorize different parts of the Quran.
Exemplary mothers of the governorate were also honored on the sidelines of the ceremony.
Egypt is a country in North Africa with a population of around 96 million.
Muslims account for around 90 percent of the total population.
Quranic activities are very common in the Arab country and many of the Muslim world’s top Qaris in the past and present have been Egyptian.
