According to ICRO, a two-stage Quran contest was held by the Islamic Foundation of Bangladesh in cooperation with the Iranian Cultural Center in the South Asian country.
At the end of the event, Qari Al Imran (recitation, men), Mohammad Abdullah Mahmoud (memorizer, men), Aisha Sadiqa (memorizer, women) and Mazhar al-Islam (recitation, visually-impaired) won the top titles.
They will represent Bangladesh in the upcoming Quran contests in Iran.
The 36th International Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic is slated to be held in the capital Tehran on April 8-15.
Four other international Quranic events, namely those for women, seminary students, school students and visually-impaired, will also be organized simultaneously.
Last year, representatives of 84 countries participated in the Quran competitions.
