The competition, as well as four other international Quran contests, will be held at Tehran’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) in the next few days.
The other four competitions are for women, seminary students, school students and the visually-impaired.
The competition’s main round will run until Tuesday, April 25, and the final round in both categories, recitation and memorization of the Quran, is slated for April 26.
The participants and guests will meet with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on April 27.
More than 270 Quran activists from 83 countries will take part in the five international Quranic events.
