Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Mostafa Hosseini, the head of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization’s Quranic Affairs Center, told IQNA that so far, participation of 283 contestants in the five upcoming international Quranic events in Iran has been confirmed.
They will attend the 34th edition of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s International Quran Competition, and international Quran contests for women, seminary students, visually-impaired, and school students, he noted.
Taking into account those accompanying the contestants and others invited, the total number of foreign guests during the Quranic events will reach 400, Hojat-ol-Islam Hosseini added.
He said the members of the panel of judges, both Iranian and foreign, in all of the five contests have been selected and will be announced in the coming days.
The five Quran competitions will be held in Iran in April.
Last year, Quran
memorizers and reciters from over 70 countries took part in Iran’s
International Quran Competition.
