Mourning Ceremony on Imam Javad’s (AS) Martyrdom Anniversary in India

On the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Imam Javad (AS), a mourning ceremony will be held today, October 6, in Lucknow District of Uttar Pradesh State of India.
According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, Reza Abbas, organizer of the program, said that the mourning rituals will begin at 8 p.m. local time at Nazemiyyah Seminary School of the region.
Quran verses will be recited at the beginning of the ceremony by one of the seminary students and Ali Reza Ja’fari, eminent Indian preacher will present a speech at the program.
Seerah and moral virtues of the ninth infallible Imam (AS) will be clarified by the scholar at the program which is open to the public.
Imam Muhammad ibn Ali Al-Taqi Al-Javad (AS) was born in Medina, on the 10th of Rajab, 195 Hijri and martyred in Baghdad in 220 Hijri when he was 25 years old. When Imam Reza (AS), his father, was martyred, the 9th Imam (AS) was only 9 years old. The length of his Imamate was 17 years.
