Status of Women in View of Islam Discussed in Pakistan

Status of women in view of Islam was clarified during a forum held yesterday in Lahore, Pakistan.

Titled “Women in View of Islam”, the forum officiated with recitation of some verses of the Quran and then ethical issues as to women’s status based upon teachings of the Holy Quran were investigated.
The event predominately addressed virtues of Hazrat Zahra (SA) and introduced the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as the main defender of Imamat and Velayat (Leadership) in her time.
A number of intellectuals, religious experts, and seminary students were in attendance to the event.
