Women’s Role in View of Quran Discussed in India

The role and status of women in view of the Holy Quran was discussed at a forum titled “Holy Quran’s Viewpoint on Women” in Uttar Pradesh State of India.

According to IQNA’s branch in South Asia, the program was held on December 27 with the participation of religious scholars and intellectuals, a large number of seminary students and Muslim citizens.
The forum began with Quran recitation and the scholars clarified viewpoints and messages as well as teachings of the Holy Quran about women.
Issues on Hijab according to Quran, the role and status of Muslim women in today’s world and problems of Muslim women were also among the themes investigated at the program.
